At Progress, we talk about ‘Inspired Thinking, Smarter Creative’. But what is that – a clever line? While we’re certainly good at those, it’s a bit more than that. It’s at the heart of everything we do. It’s a belief, an ideal if you will.

The Olympic mantra is ‘Faster, Higher, Stronger’. To constantly exceed, improve, excel. To be the very best you can be. But while we’re by no means Olympians, our approach does draw a similar comparison. We genuinely strive to ensure that each job, whatever it is, is the very best it can be – after all, it’s more often than not the yardstick by which we’re measured by our clients and our peers alike.

It’s impossible for us to say to a potential client that we can improve their business before we even know what they do. We need to get to know them – what their aims are, how they tick, what works or not as the case may be. It may sound simple, but the best tool we have is the ability to listen.

It’s only once we’ve done this that we’re even slightly prepared to tackle a brief, to think about it and do something with it. And yet it never ceases to amaze me how many agencies don’t do this and charge on with their vision, delivering halfconsidered, ill-thought-out work. It’s a waste of time, and more importantly, the client’s budget.

Our success is down to establishing solid client relationships where we understand their business, becoming for all intents and purposes an extension of their team.

Boil it down and it’s very simple: whatever the job, we always seek to inspire with our thinking, design effective creative, and then deliver the solutions. The net effect: customer engagement and a budget well spent. Inspired Thinking. Smarter Creative.
